Press Release March 19, 2008

New franchisee receives national and regional recognition for first-of-year real estate sales achievements

United Country/Stone Auction & Realty has recently been recognized for leading sales in multiple categories for the beginning month of 2007.

Bailey, North Carolina, Wednesday, March 19: United Country/Stone Auction and Realty, did not take long to make its mark in the franchise real estate market, racking up several top places in the United Country real estate achievement roster.

United Country’s Regional Vice President, Duane Swenk, announced recently that UC/Stone ranked #22 in the nation and was one of three offices in the United Country Real Estate Region to place in the top ten percent of all UC offices nationwide for January. Swenk added that UC/Stone was #1 in the region which covers the two Carolinas for the same period.

Based in Bailey, United Country/Stone Auction and Realty was ranked third in UC’s Eastern Division or the eastern half of the US in the month of January.

Swenk said that it is rewarding for United Country and for Stone to see such activity from a firm that joined the UC real estate organization in late 2007.

"The results from our focus on selling our market and broadening what we’ve done for the past 33 years by recently affiliating with United Country is just humbling," said Tony R. Stone the president of United Country/Stone. "We’re selling the country and occasionally the town with inquiries now coming from all over the country. Our broker-in-charge, Kay Mitchell of Spring Hope, is helping us to constructively corral all sides of the market."

United Country’s local office serves Nash, Wilson, Halifax, Edgecombe and parts of Wayne, Johnston, and Wake counties. Stone has focused almost entirely on real estate marketing for the past decade, either by auction or private listing sales. The firm specializes in large tract, commercial, agricultural and residential properties, particularly those with acreage.

Thirty-three year old area auction & realty firm announces an expansion.

Stone Auction & Realty has acquired an area realty franchise to expand its rural and large tract real estate marketing in the area and around the country.

Bailey, North Carolina, September 12, 2007: The acquisition of a Rocky Mount realty franchise will expand Bailey-based, Stone Auction & Realty. Effective this week, Stone added United Country to its name, acquiring the franchise from United Country Rocky Mount. That makes the 33-year old auction and real estate marketing firm United Country’s local office of service to Nash, Wilson, Halifax, Edgecombe and parts of Wayne, Johnston, and Wake counties. Several staff members are expected to join the expanding offices of Stone.

J. Marvin Shearin, who formerly owned United Country Rocky Mount, said, "We’re confident that our friends and customers will enjoy the service and integrity that Stone brings with this real estate marketing expansion." Shearin’s business interests will now focus on a more active role in coastal and other development businesses.

Stone has focused almost entirely on real estate marketing for the past decade, either by auction or private listing sales. The firm specializes in large tract, commercial and agricultural properties.
